Recommended Changes to San Diego’s Minimum Wage and Earned Sick Leave Notices

Earned Sick Leave

The City of San Diego has updated their Earned Sick Leave notice. Employers must provide employees no less than 40 hours of earned sick leave at the beginning of each benefit year. Additionally, employers may cap employee’s total accrual of earned sick leave at 80 hours. Lastly, the notice now includes a new email address to contact the City of San Diego’s Minimum Wage Program and an updated revision date of September 2016.
