Mandatory Change to Florida’s Minimum Wage Notice

The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity has updated the Florida Minimum Wage poster. Beginning January 1, 2017 the minimum wage will increase to $8.10 per hour for non-tipped employees and $5.08 per hour for tipped employees.

Effective Date: 1/1/2017

Mandatory Change to Florida Discrimination Posting

The Florida Commission on Human Relations has updated their Discrimination posting. The updated posting now includes pregnancy as a form of discrimination in the workplace. Additionally, the posting now includes a new contact address in Tallahassee, Florida.

The updated posting is to go into effect: 7/1/2015

Florida Releases Newly Mandated Labor Law Posting

Florida has released their 2014 Minimum Wage posting, in effect January 1, 2014
The 2014 Florida Minimum Wage poster has been released, reflecting the upcoming wage increase from $7.79 per hour to $7.93 per hour. Additionally, the minimum wage for tipped employees will be increasing from $4.77 per hour to $4.91 per hour. Effective date is 1/1/2014.

Florida updates it’s Minimum Wage for 2011

Effective June 1st, 2011, the new Florida Minimum Wage will will increase from $7.25 per hour to $7.31 per hour effective June 1, 2011. The minimum wage for tipped employees will also be increased from $4.23 per hour to $4.29 per hour, in addition to tips. This is a big change for the State of Florida. Florida employers will be familiar with this annual change and will know that the required posting needs to be updated in time for the new law’s effective date.
