New Changes to Connecticut’s Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Notices

Sexual Harassment (Mandatory)

The Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities has updated the Sexual Harassment notice. The title and the section of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act has been updated along with the address for the Commission’s Office. The new revision date is 09/2016.

Discrimination (Recommended)

The Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities has updated their Discrimination notice. Addresses for the Capitol Region and Administrative offices have been updated. The new revision date is 09/2016.

Effective Date for Both Notices: 9/1/2016

The Osha4less.com Connecticut All-In-One State and Federal Poster has been updated to include these new mandatory changes on the required posting.

Connecticut updates it Discrimination Notice

Connecticut has added Civil Unions to its list of groups protected from discrimination in the workplace. The Osha4less.com Connecticut Labor Law Poster has been updated to reflect that Connecticut law prohibits discrimination on the basis of civil union status in employment, housing and public accommodations, and credit transactions. There was also a physical address change to the administrative office of the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.
