South Dakota Notice to Employees – Unemployment Insurance updates

South Dakota has introduced changes to the Unemployment Insurance – Notice to Employees. The posting was updated to reflect the addition of the new logo for the Department of Labor and Regulation.

All employers in South Dakota are required to post up-to-date State and Federal mandated Labor Law Postings. Employers in South Dakota can purchase an updated South Dakota Labor Law Posters via out website.

Change to the Missouri Discrimination in Employment Posting

In June, Missouri has updated all three of its Discrimination Postings, including the Discrimination in Employment Notice. This notice is the most important of the three as it applies to all businesses within the State of Missouri. The Missouri Discrimination in Employment Posting was updated to reflect significant changes to posting information, plus changes to phone numbers and a website address.

The change to this required posting is significant.  All employers are required to post this notice at a suitable location where all employees can view it. Employers may purchase the Missouri Labor Law Posters which have been updated with this most recent change to the Discrimination in Employment Posting.

Wisconsin Updates its Child Labor Laws

An important change to the mandatory Wisconsin Child Labor Posting, this notice has been updated to reflect that state and federal laws permit minors under the age of 16 to work except they may not be employed during hours of required school attendance. The maximum hours of work chart on the poster is limited to 14 and 15 year-old minors. The revised poster also covers the minimum wage for minors of $7.25 per hour, and the “opportunity wage” of $5.90 per hour for the first 90 days of employment.

This revised notice is included as part of our updated Wisconsin Labor Law Posters, which includes mandatory labor law postings for this state.

Important change to Oklahoma Child Labor Law Notice

Oklahoma put into effect its new regulations on the employment or minors, a mandatory posting included as a part of our Oklahoma Labor Law Posters. In addition to a change in Employment Certificate information, this revised mandatory posting also adds ‘Youth peddling’ to the list of  Prohibited Occupations. This is a significant change and employers in Oklahoma are strongly advised to update their existing Oklahoma Labor Law Posters.
