This plan provides guidelines and procedures for employees that are required to operate a powered industrial truck and/or forklift. These employees will be trained to operate the equipment. Powered industrial trucks are defined as forklifts, platform lift trucks, power sweepers, motorized pallet jacks and all other motorized vehicles. A licensed instructor must certify all drivers before they are allowed to use these vehicles. The Forklift and Industrial Truck Plan provides material for continuing employee forklift and industrial truck safety training.
