312 - Hearing Conservation Safety Plan

What does this plan provide for me?

This plan provides guidelines for noise-induced hearing loss. It provides procedures for engineering controls such as ear mufflers to earplugs. This plan explains that employees will be given the opportunity to select hearing protective devices from a variety of suitable ones provided by the Safety and Health Manager. Area noise monitoring will be conducted by the Safety and Health Manager using a sound level meter to determine the need for employee monitoring or engineering controls. The Hearing Conservation Plan provides material for continuing employee hearing conservation safety training.
