Required Poster for Contractors and Mechanics employed on Federal Construction Projects

The Davis Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) is a mandatory posting for contractors and mechanics employed on Federal or Federally assisted construction projects. Employers regulated by the Davis-Bacon Act are required to pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates. The Davis Bacon Act Poster provides information on employee overtime, enforcement of the Davis-Bacon Act, apprentices and proper pay.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) states that employers are required to post the Davis Bacon Poster in order to communicate to employees their rights in regards to prevailing wage and other benefits.

Failure to comply with the posting requirements or implementing regulations may result in the termination of the contract and possible further disciplinary action by the Comptroller General of the United States, who is authorized to distribute a list to all departments of the Government giving the names of persons or firms whom he or she has found to have disregarded their obligations to employees and/or subcontractors.
